They have adopted a tag of being ‘giant slayers’ on the field of play, beating Ngezi Platinum, FC Platinum and Highlanders and whenever they do they are never been humble about it, in fact @BulawayoChiefs Twitter handle goes into overdrive.
By Leopold Munhende
The handle combines humour, swag and facts and for a professional football club that is something new indeed.
Fans who follow them (@BulawayoChiefs) who include none other than retired Zimbabwean international Cephas Chimedza (@cepho13) are all rooting for Chiefs (on Twitter).
“Hopefully @CastleLagerPSL will have an award for the best social media interactioins at the end of the year,” tweeted Chimedza in support of Chiefs’ work on Twitter.
