Dynamos playmaker Cleopas Kapupurika has crossed the sacred divide, signing with Highlanders less than a month after the expiry of his contract with bitter rivals Dynamos.
Kapupurika who despite massive talent and potential failed to make a mark at the Harare giants has signed a two year contract with Bosso.
Highlanders FC communications officer Ronald Moyo confirmed the development.
“I can also confirm that we have also signed Cleopas Kapupurika on a two year contract.
“This is a directive from the technical team, they think he will add value to the squad,” said Moyo of the player whose contract with DeMbare expired on 31 December.
“We wish the player all the best and welcome him to Highlanders Football Club.”
Kapupurika could be a direct fit to the youthful Bosso side which just lost winger Gabriel Nyoni to Caps United.
His exit at DeMbare, though not as weighty as that of Mutuma or Masimba Mambare’s switch from Barborfields to Rufaro in 2013, has left DeMbare a weakened side.
Above Kapupurika Dynamos has lost captain Marshall Machazane to Harare City and Peace Makaha to Manica Diamonds while Godfrey Mukambi and Phakamani Dube are reportedly on their way out.
