After a promising career and two scintillating seasons at Harare City, ZPC Kariba and a miscalculated move to Dynamos at their worst, midfielder Raphael Manuvire has resurfaced at lowly ZIFA Northern Region division one side Chegutu Pirates.
Manuvire made a name for himself under the ZIFA shy Saul Chaminuka at ZPC Kariba before making the lucrative trek down to Harare, turning out for council side Harare City.
At ZPC, the former Warriors international then Chaminuka’s key player suffered a horrific injury at Chapungu which almost ended his career before making a spectacular comeback at the holiday resort-based side.
A fallout with the outspoken Moses Chunga saw the creative midfielder almost leave but Dynamos could neither afford nor convince him to leave the stable city council owned team.
Dynamos eventually signed Manuvire beginning of last season in what will go down as one of their worst seasons.
Manuvire was neither given game time nor have the impact he would have anticipated.
A change in coaches did not do the player any good.
Fellow former Dynamos and Ngezi Platinum forward Washington Pakamisa will also be featuring for the Tendai Chapfika coached Grain Tigers in what will be an interesting season in the lower division.
Pakamisa had gone silent since his sojourn to Ngezi Platinum.
Both players will definitely be looking for revival and a quick return to the topflight.
