My goal was a classic piece of art – Tarumbwa says after sinking Caps

His goal was all that mattered as Chicken Inn beat Caps United 1-0 at the National Sports Stadium and forward, Obadiah Tarumbwa did not waste time being modest about it.

Tarumbwa said he knew the moment the ball left his boot that what he had just done was classic.

“You saw the goal, you saw the technique, it was a classic piece of art from my right foot into the far end of the Caps United goal.

“That shot could not have been saved, he was actually lucky I missed a similar chance later on, I could have worsened his worries,” said a bubbly Tarumbwa as he saluted a section of Harare fans chanting his name at the National Sports Stadium.

Tarumbwa capitalised on Caps United’s failure to deal with a loose ball on the inner edges of its 18 area, rounding off a stumbling who Milton Ncube before slamming it into the far side past a hapless Prosper Chigumba in goals for Makepekepe.

“I am happy for the team though as the draws were definitely having an effect on the team. We needed this,” he added.

His coach, Joey Antipas said that the goal was worth more than the win as they had previously struggled to beat Caps United at the National Sports Stadium.
